The team finals mark the pinnacle of the 2011-2012 WSB season with either Dynamo Moscow or Dolce & Gabbana Milano set to become only the second ever team champions in the competition after Paris United of France won the inaugural season last year.

The final at the ExCeL, which will host the London 2012 Olympic boxing competition, will see five fights at the five different weights of bantamweight (54kg), lightweight (61kg), middleweight (73kg), light heavyweight (85kg) and heavyweight (91+kg).

The first team to win three of the five bouts will be crowned champions and take home the coveted WSB Team Championship trophy.

Dynamo Moscow managing director Stepan Lendeyl has admitted that his team is looking forward to the final in London.

"Our objective was always to reach the WSB team final," he said.

"We had a difficult journey, with three of the strongest teams in our group, all of which went to the semi-finals.

"It is probably not a coincidence that many neutrals regard the Moscow vs Milan regular season match as one of the best in terms of quality.

"Now we cannot wait to take to the ring for a great final in London.

"We have continued the proud tradition of the name and that has given us a lot of respect back in Russia."


Dolce & Gabbana Milano Thunder general manager Paolo Taveggia is equally excited ahead of the showdown in London.

"We are in a great mood," he said.

"We got the results we wanted against Baku Fires in the semi-final.

"We are however still extremely focused because the most demanding battle has yet to come."
