Shooting aiming off target, London officials insist

 

altMAY 11 – LONDON officials have again insisted they will not move the controversial venue for the shooting in 2012 from Woolwich Artillery Barracks (pictured) despite new claims from the chairman of the Great Britain Target Shooting Federation that there are two venues which would be a better choice.


Football warned it faces axe from 2012 Olympics

 

altMAY 11 – FOOTBALL has been warned again that it faces being dropped from the 2012 London Olympics unless it agrees to implement a worldwide code on doping that has been ratified by nearly every other major sport and Government.





Volleyball moves to Sheffield to give citys Olympics hopes a boost

 

altMAY 23 - SHEFFIELD'S plans to become a key player in the build up to the Olympics and Paralympics in 2012 took a major step forward today with the news that the British volleyball squads are making the city their home. The Team GB men's and women's squads are to relocate to the English Institute of Sport-Sheffield as part of the British Volleyball Federation's development plans ahead of London 2012.



More gold for Britains judo players

 

altMAY 27 - EDINBURGH'S Sarah Clark (pictured) has won the –63kg title on the second day of the 2006 European Judo Championships, in Tampere, Finland – beating both the World Champion and reigning European Champion to take gold.



Basketball even more under the microscope after another review
