Pecco Bagnaia retains the MotoGP World Championship

There were no surprises, and Pecco Bagnaia was crowned the MotoGP World Champion after winning the last race, the Valencia Grand Prix, and leaving no chance for his main title rival, the Spanish rider Jorge Martín, who took too many risks and crashed in the sixth lap while trying to catch up with Bagnaia, sending Marc Márquez to the ground in the process. Martín was eager and started the race with the intention of reducing the 14-point gap that separated him from Bagnaia in the standings. However, he faced the first scare in the third lap when he ran straight to avoid a fall, dropping to eighth place and losing many opportunities.

Vasily Shestakov, president of FIAS, was pleased during the International Sambo Day. "It is a pride and joy to see that our beloved sport is turning 85." The president stated that "in 1938, our founding fathers created this sport," and since then, its practice and development have been growing, multiplying, and becoming international.

From November 9 to 12 Yerevan was not only the capital of Armenia but also for sambo’s biggest event of the year - World Sambo Championships 2023. Since 2021 Yerevan has hosted numerous big sporting events such as boxing and weightlifting European championships, a few youth and junior European and world championships, international tournaments from boxing, wrestling and sambo.
