A 15-13 win against Israel took them into the final with eight points from Camille Zimmerman proving the outstanding performance.

The French had been run close by Israel in their opening match before prevailing 12-10 in overtime.

They overcame Hungary 22-7 to reach the quarter-finals where they beat Lithuania 20-18 in another close encounter.

In the semi-finals it proved more straightforward as they recorded a 21-13 victory against Azerbaijan commercial team Neftchi.

The final was a rematch of last month's FIBA 3x3 Women's World Cup Final in Vienna when the United States won 16-12.

In Pristina, the margin threatened to be much greater in the early stages, as the Americans raced into a 7-1 advantage with Blake Dietrick and Zimmerman scoring heavily.

The French hit back, although the Americans still held a four-point advantage as the last minute approached.

Noémie Brochant reduced the gap to only one point but the US held on for their first competition victory of the 2023 3x3 Women’s Series.

Burdick was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

China did not play in Pristina but they remain clear at the top of the overall standings with 620 points, in front of the commercial teams Yuanda from China on 426, and Neftchi with 403 points.

As a result of reaching the final in Pristina, France stay fourth with 385 points.

The Americans move up to fifth overall with 220 points.

The 12th stop of the circuit is set to begin in Bordeaux on Wednesday (July 19).
