Madrid has been chosen as the latest venue for the European Teqball Tour and the third qualification tournament for entry to the Kraków-Małopolska 2023 European Games, the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) has announced.

The event is set to be held from March 16 to 19 2023, at the Polideportivo Municipal Gallur in Madrid and will involve all five categories: men's and women's singles, mixed doubles and men's and women's doubles.

Madrid will be followed closely by the fourth and final qualification event for the third European Games, flagship event of the European Olympic Committee (EOC), which is due to be held from June 21 to July 2.

The fourth qualifying event is scheduled to take place in Podgorica, Montenegro from March 28 to 31.

The European Teqball Tour is being used for all four qualification events for the European Games, with with the first held in Budapest in September last year and the second scheduled to be played in Skopje, Macedonia, between January 26 and 29.

Once all the events are completed, the results will determine the final ranking used to select the top nations for entry into the Games.

Teqball will join multiple Olympic sports, as well as a number of non-Olympic sports, on the European Games programme.

Registration is now open for Madrid and Podgorica events.
