Austria's Jan Hörl topped qualifying at the men's Ski Jumping World Cup in Wisła.

The 23-year-old's leap of 129.0 metres was not the longest of the round, but Hörl was given 138.7 points, with his form delivering Hörl to the top of the leaderboard.

Karl Geiger, the early-season World Cup leader, cleared 134.0m to score 137.7, and was Hörl's closest rival.

Marius Lindvik from Norway was a further 0.1 points behind Geiger, and jumped 132.0m.

Germany's Pius Paschke placed fourth, on 137.2, and Russia's Evgenii Klimov completed the top five on 131.9.

Three-time Olympic champion Kamil Stoch was the best of the Polish athletes, 10th on 127.7, while Norway's Halvor Egner Granerud - winner of last season's crystal globe - was down in 32nd position.

The top 50 athletes qualified for Sunday's (December 5) individual World Cup on the large hill.

A team event is due to take place tomorrow.
