Nigeria’s Jennifer Oghenewaire and Colombia’s Felipe Cárdenas from Colombia have been appointed as Board of Appeal of Classification (BAC) panel members.

The BAC is responsible for hearing athlete classification appeals from across various Para-sports.

Each specific appeal sees three panel members appointed from the pool.

The selected members serve as the hearing panel in the case, with the chair responsible for writing a full and reasoned judgement in each case.

The BAC is chaired independently by Fred Jansen of The Netherlands.

The additions of Cárdenas and Oghenewaire see the number of panel members increase to 16.

Oghenewaire is a legal practitioner based in Lagos State in Nigeria.

She has been trained in both mediation and arbitration.
