Chinese Taipei players will begin as top seeds in both the men's and women's singles events at the Badminton World Federation Lingshui China Masters, which begins tomorrow.

The World Tour Super 100 event will take place at Agile Stadium in Lingshui, on the island of Hainan.

Top seed in the men's event is Hsu Jen-hao, who won a mixed team gold medal at his home Summer Universiade in Taipei last year.

Malaysia's Liew Daren, a Commonwealth Games gold medallist in the mixed team at Glasgow 2014, is seeded second while Indonesia's Ihsan Maulana Mustofa is ranked third.

In the women's event, Chen Su-yu is the top seeded player.

The Taiwanese could face her biggest competition from Vietnam's Vũ Thị Trang, ranked second, and another Chinese Taipei player in Sung Shuo-yun who is the third seed.

China's Cai Yanyan, a double gold medallist at the World Junior Championships, is seeded seventh and will also look to make an impression at her home event.

The top-ranked men's players have been given byes to round two with the first round beginning action tomorrow.

Titles will also be contested in men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

Finals will be held on April 15.
