The American duo enjoyed an easy victory in the final at the Sportcampus Zuiderpark to defeat Carolina Salgado and Maria Antonelli of Brazil.

Klineman's dominance at the net was well complimented by Ross' agility behind her as they won the first set 21-12 and then the second 21-15.

It came after a marathon tournament for the new pairing which began with country quota and qualifying round matches before main draw action began in the Dutch city.

"I'm still in shock, but we tried to play this game as we would play any other game," Klineman said. 

"We prepared the same way and we tried to play the same way and it was enough in the end."

It marked Ross' first title World Tour medal since she and Lauren Fendrick won silver at last year's World Championships in Vienna.

Switzerland's Nina Betschart and Tanja Hüberli took the bronze medal after defeating Czech Republic's Barbora Hermannova and Marketa Slukova 21-18, 21-10.

Latvian pair Martins Plavins and Edgars Tocs won the corresponding men's title against Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Losiak of Poland.

They also enjoyed a straight sets success by a 21-14, 21-12 margin.

Robert Meeuwsen and Alexander Brouwer had earlier won an all-Dutch bronze medal clash, 21-18, 21-14 against Christiaan Varenhorst and Jasper Bouter.
