Canada's Mikael Kingsbury continued his excellent from by claiming men’s moguls gold at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle World Cup at the Bokwang Phoenix Park.

Kingsbury last weekend became the men's record holder for the most Freestyle World Cup podium finishes, having achieved 58.

He would ensure number 59 came swiftly, with the Canadian achieving a score of 86.71 points in the six-man big final today.

It proved only just enough to take top spot, as Dmitriy Reiherd of Kazakhstan ended just 0.01 behind in second place.

The podium was completed by Canada’s Philippe Marquis after he secured a total of 85.94 points for his efforts.

Kingsbury’s third straight World Cup win has seen him pull even further away in the overall standings, with the Canadian boasting a score of 620.

He looks poised to become the overall freestyle World Cup champion for the sixth time in a row as France’s second placed skier Benjamin Cavet is some way back on 372 points with just four events remaining.

Canada would be denied gold in the women’s competition, as a strong display from Britteny Cox saw the Australian top the standings with 81.66 points.

She would finish in front of Canada’s Justine Dufour-Lapointe and Andi Naude, with the pair scoring 78.35 and 78.16 respectively to complete the top three.

Back-to-back wins have seen Cox strengthen her World Cup lead, with her successes in Deer Valley and Pyeongchang taking her to 605 points.

Dufour-Lapointe is second on 434 in the standings.
