The world's premier motorsport competition has unveiled its 2025 calendar. Similar to this year, the coming season will consist of a record-breaking 24 Grand Prix races. The Grand Prix races will be the same as in 2024, but in a different order. The season will begin in mid-March in Melbourne, Australia, rather than in the Gulf, as announced by the championship organisers.

Melbourne will host the inaugural race of the 76th edition of the Formula One World Championship from 14-16 March 2025, before moving to China the following week and Suzuka, Japan, in early April. Bahrain, the season opener for several years, has been moved to mid-April, a week before the race in Saudi Arabia, due to Ramadan, which will take place in March next year.

Unlike this season, these two races will return to the usual Formula One weekend format, with the race on Sunday. Only the season-ending Las Vegas Grand Prix will be held on a Saturday.

The rest of the 2025 calendar is very similar to that of 2024, with some minor changes to the dates, such as the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona being moved up to early June, and the Hungarian Grand Prix now being held after the Belgian race, just before the summer break in the northern hemisphere.

There will be three consecutive weekends, linking Japan, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in April, then Imola, Monaco and Barcelona in late May and early June, and finally Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi to close the season in late November and early December. There will also be a total of five back-to-back weekends of two consecutive Grand Prix races throughout the year.

However, F1 has not revealed the number of sprint races or the circuits where they will be held. The dates and locations of the pre-season tests are also unknown, although it is likely that they will be held in Bahrain, as they have been in previous years.

The following year, the 77th season of Formula One, will see at least one new addition to the calendar with the arrival of Madrid, which will host the Spanish Grand Prix on an urban circuit in 2026. Other newcomers could arrive, perhaps at the expense of some historic circuits such as Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, whose contract with F1 ends in 2025.
