This week an additional inspection visit took place in Debrecen for the newly appointed European University Sports Association (EUSA) Technical Delegates and for those who could not schedule an inspection during the EUSA - EUG24 Convention last June.

The EUSA Technical Delegates who took part in the inspection were: Paivi Mitrunen, EUSA Technical Delegate for Handball, Marco Trespidi, EUSA Technical Delegate for Beach Handball, and Marcin Fidala, EUSA Technical Delegate for Table Tennis, while the Sports Officer Eszter Gulyas has represented the EUSA office. 

During this visit, the EUSA delegation was accompanied by Gabor Orosz, National TD for Table Tennis, Katalin Varga, Project Leader Debrecen EUG2024 and Mate Nagyistok, Junior Project Manager MEFS, as well as representatives of Sport Events company and local sports coordinators from Debrecen.

The one-day inspection visit was mainly dedicated to the inspection of the venues for the respective sports. The visit started with the inspection and approval of three handball facilities: the DESOK Sports Hall, the Olah Gabor Sports Hall and the handball training hall.  

The DESOK Sports Complex will also host the beach handball competitions.  As for table tennis, the delegation visited the Kossuth College venue.
