The Paris 2024 test event for artistic swimming has been confirmed for May 3 to 5 next year, as part of the sport's World Cup circuit.

Competition is due to take place at the Olympic Aquatics Centre in Saint-Denis, the only permanent sports facility being built for the Games.

Paris has previously played host to 26 World Aquatics events, including five legs of the Artistic Swimming World Cup between 2017 and 2022.

"I am proud and excited to swim in front of the French public in a brand-new Olympic venue in the most beautiful city in the world," French artistic swimmer Eve Planeix, who has competed at the World Championships four times, said.

Paris will be the second leg, before the third in Markham in Canada from May 31 to June 2.

Budapest will then host the season-ending super final between July 5 and 7.
