French sporting goods firm Salomon has signed up as a premium partner of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Clothing, footwear and accessories will be provided by Salomon to the technical staff, competition judges, volunteers and staff involved in the Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relay.

"With the entry of a company of Salomon's magnitude into the Milan Cortina 2026 team, a relationship of excellence begins," Giovanni Malagò, President of Milan 2026, said.

“The Winter Games represent the highest expression of sport also from a technical and organisational point of view.

“Being able to count on Salomon's very high quality allows us to bring the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics and Paralympics to the highest possible level of performance."

Milan Cortina 2026 chief executive Andrea Varnier added: "We welcome Salomon and its great knowledge of the winter environment, we are proud that the first experience of this great company in the Olympic and Paralympic world takes place with the Milano Cortina 2026 project."

Salomon were founded in Annecy shortly after the end of World War Two and is now owned by Finnish retail conglomerate Amer Sports, along with Wilson, Atomic, Precor, and Arc'teryx.
