Parth Sushant Salunkhe set the seal on a superb Championships for India with victory in the men’s individual recurve for under-21s, beating South Korea’s Injun Song 7-3 to take the title.

India had earlier taken gold in the women's individual cadet competition for under-18s.

Aditi Swami beat Leanne Drake of the United States 142-136 to win gold.

Priyansh, a double gold medallist on the Asian circuit last last year had beaten Aljaž Matija Brenk of Slovenia 147-141 to claim individual compound gold in the men's under-21s.

He also teamed up with Anveet Kaur to beat Israel's Hamai Yarom and Romi Mayrom 146-144 in the mixed team event.

Even so, it was a first medal for the Israelis at this level.

India's other successes came in the junior women's team compound and in the cadet women’s team compound event where Swami joined her team mates to beat the United States 214-212.

The South Koreans had missed the last competition in 2021 but returned with a vengeance.

Yejin Oh defeated compatriot Hyejeong Yeom 6-5 to win the individual recurve final.

South Korea dominated the junior team events in recurve.

They beat France 6-0 to win the women’s junior title and in the mixed team event, Yeom joined Won Jong-Hyuk to overcome Chinese Taipei 5-4.

In the cadet events, Yun Soon-Hee added further South Korean gold with a 7-1 victory over Jingyi Zhu of China.

Yun also joined the women’s team to take another gold at the expense of China after a 6-2 victory.

The United States were the only other country to win more than one gold.

Sydney Sullenberger defeated European Games bronze medallist Hazal Burun of Turkey 140-138 to win the under-21 women's individual compound.

In the under-18s, it was Dewey Hathaway who took gold in the men's compound with a 143-141 margin over 15-year-old Jonas Grigaravičius of Lithuania, who nonetheless won his country's first medal.

Hathaway also partnered Olivia Dean to gold in the mixed team compound. 

They won 146-137 against Britain's Isabella Bruguier and Ioan Rees.

At  the age of 16, Romans Sergejevs won Latvia’s first gold medal when he shot two perfect sets in a 6-4 victory over South Korea’s Choi Chul Jun to win the men's individual cadet recurve title. 

The only French gold went to Baptiste Addis, Jules Pedoux and Alexis Renaudineau who justified their top seeding in recurve cadets when they beat South Korea 5-3.

Elsewhere in the cadet category, Mexico’s Victor Portillo, Elias Reyes and Rafael Munoz prevented further Indian success in the men's team compound in a close encounter which ended 216-215 for the Mexicans.

Denmark were the only other country to win gold. 

Mathias Fullerton, Tore BjarnarsonRasmus Bramsen claimed victory in the men's junior team compound with a 228-224 win over Slovenia in the final.
