Chinese Taipei have won back-to-back Under-12 Softball World Cup titles, following victory on home soil.

Having won the last edition of this World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) mixed-gender event in 2019, Chinese Taipei overcame the Czech Republic in the final to retain the title.

Chinese Taipei came from behind to beat the Czechs 3-2 and went unbeaten throughout the tournament.

Singapore defeated Hong Kong 9-8 in extra innings in a thrilling bronze-medal match.

India were the fifth team taking part in the tournament.

Chinese Taipei pitcher Yuan-Hsi Tien was crowned Most Valuable Player.

Tien struck out 12 batters over 13 innings and earned two wins, including when pitching a complete game in the final.

The Czech Republic's silver medal was an improvement of one place on the nation's 2019 finish.

Singapore's podium finish was the country's first at a WBSC event.
