Bu Areesh, who finished second in the men's 50m freestyle previously, clocked 24.40sec to defeat Natheer Al-Hamoud by 0.96.

Hassan Al-Youssef timed at 26.55 to seal bronze.

This was one of five swimming events to be held today, with Sultan Al-Otaibi and Ali Alessa claiming their second Saudi Games gold medals.

Al-Otaibi produced heroics in the men's 100m breaststroke to finish in 1min 6.62sec and defeat Yousef Essa Al-Yousuf and Abdullah Mohhamed Al-Rasheed by 0.34sec and 0.81, respectively.

Next, Ali Alessa stormed to the top of the men's 200m backstroke podium to add to his 100m backstroke title.

He sailed to the win thanks to his time of 2:10.00 - 10.20sec faster than Ali Al-Sadeq and 12.09 quicker than Aqeel Al Al-Hashim.

Emad Aldeen Basim Zaben, who came in front of Bu Areesh in the men's 50m freestyle, also topped the podium again, this time winning the men's 100m freestyle.

He finished in 52.30sec to take the gold with Faisal Al-Shilaty trailing by almost a second.

Shereef Fawzy settled for bronze after touching the wall in 54.42sec.

In the men's 200m medley, Alexandre Younes triumphed in 2:07.36 as Mohammed Al-Otaibi and Abdulqader Ali Younes concluded the race 10.93sec and 12.06 after.

There were also five gold medals handed out in Greco-Roman wrestling, with Rayan Mazen Hawsawi becoming the first of the exclusive club in the under-60 kilograms event at the King Saud University Arena.

He secured a convincing win over Meshal Abdullah Al-Jayzani while Faisal Khalid Al-Dossary and Munthir Abdullah Jandu won bronze medals.

Mohamed Khalaf Abdellatif triumphed in the under-70kg class after besting Mesfer Ibrahim Al-Subaie in the final.

Bassam Abdulaziz Hawsawi and Ahmed Fawzi Barahmah were the bronze medallists in this class.

Hassan Saleh Barnawi then established himself as the under-80kg champion with victory against Mahmoud Mohamed Abouelkhir.

Mansour Abdu Kaabi took one of the bronze medals as Abdullah Saad Al-Dossary took the other.

Reda Samy El-Maghraby booked his place atop the under-90kg podium thanks to final win against Faisal Jamaan bin Ahmed.

Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Ouda achieved bronze alongside Ammar Omar Hawsawi.

In the last Greco-Roman final, Mohammed Fallatah edged Mohamed Tarek El-Ghazaly to take the over-90kg crown.

Raed Saeed Al-Zahrani and Ghazi Ali Bin Baker achieved the bronze medals.

There was also lift off in the artistic gymnastics finals as Abdulaziz Al-Johani was judged the best in the men's floor routine after scoring 12.450 at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium.

Just 0.100 points separated Jaffar Al-Sayigh and Almari Manaf in second and third, with the former gymnast totalling 11.100.

Kadhem Al-Antaif put on a show in the men's pommel horse after tallying 11.100 to beat Habeb Aswailah and Yazan Barayan.

Aswailah made 10.700 while Barayan totalled 9.800.

To cap off the artistic gymnastics, Ali Al-Mobireek sealed the men's rings title narrowly, scoring 11.500 to better Nasser Al-Samiri by 0.250 points.

Hassan Al-Muwais put 10.950 on the board to take third.

In the men's Para table tennis, Nasser Hassan Siraj claimed the gold medal after overcoming Abdul Rahman Hassan Bahari in the final, as Mohammed Al-Shamri secured bronze.
