Two-time Olympic gold medallist Carli Lloyd is set to attend the last day of the USA Teqball Tour tournament in Los Angeles on August 28.

Lloyd became an ambassador for the United States National Teqball Federation earlier this year, and is set to be present at the Finals for a meet and greet opportunity with fans.

Free admission is offered for the event at the Long Beach Convention Center, with special prizes available as well as a photo opportunity with Lloyd.

Lloyd retired from football last year after winning bronze with the US at Tokyo 2020, adding to her back-to-back golds at Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

She was also part of the US team that won back-to-back FIFA Women's World Cups in 2015 and 2019, following on from a defeat in the 2011 final and a third-place finish in 2007.

Her 316 international caps is the second highest in US history, and she became the first player to score a Women's World Cup final hat-trick in the 5-2 win against Japan in 2015.

The Teqball Tour tournament in Los Angeles is set to begin on Friday (August 26), with finals due to take place on August 28 and set to be broadcast live by ESPN following a programming deal reached earlier this year.

A total prize fund of $30,000 (£25,000/€30,000) is available at the Tour event, which follows on from previous stops in Los Angeles at Santa Monica Beach in April and in Miami in June.

The International Federation of Teqball holds ambitions for the sport, which it claims is the world's fastest growing, to feature at the Summer Olympics.

However, it did not make a shortlist of nine sports invited to present their cases for inclusion in addition to those already on the programme.
