Hosts England continued their domination at the Commonwealth Fencing Championships in London by winning three more golds today.

They grabbed the senior men’s foil team title first.

The quartet of Harry Bird, Joe Donaghue, Kamal Minott and Benjamin Peggs defeated Scotland’s Jamie Cook, Keith Cook, Lachlan Jarvie and Calum Penman 45-23 in the final.

Teams from Canada and Malaysia earned bronze medals.

The hosts added another title for the day as they emerged victorious in the senior men’s sabre team event.

An England team featuring Will Deary, Luke Haynes, Nicholas Howes, and Jonathan Webb got the better of the Scottish team of Ethan Llewellyn, Rory McLellan, Stuart Scott and Caspian Watt 45-28.

Bronze medals went to Australia and Canada.

Canadian trio of Marie Frederique Millette, Ruien Xiao and Evelyn Zheng were up against Jess Gundry, Rebecca Renziehausen, Louise sadler and Emily Southern of Wales in the senior women’s eppe team final.

It was Canada who took gold after a 44-36 win.

The hosts along with Scotland took bronze.

With only two teams in the wheelchair men’s epee team event, hosts England took the title against India 45-37.

Piers Gilliver, Oliver Lam-Watson, Rashid Shah and Josh Waddell beat Praveen, Raghavendra, Sethu Kumar Rakhal and Ramesh Rao.
