A gulf separates the top three from the rest - the best of those below currently being Filipe Silva of Portugal on 37 points who finished fifth on two occasions today.

It was a difficult day for New Zealand's Karl Purdie who dropped down to fifth on 41 points, with a best result of 12th today.

Sitting far down the field after day one was The Netherlands' Karel van Hellemond, but moved up to 17th overall with ninth and second-place finishes today.
