The veteran is part of an experienced 18-member squad that has been selected to compete in China.

The other forwards on the team include Alessandro Andreoni, Christoph De Paoli, Gabriele Lanza, Matteo Remotti Marnini, and Francesco Torella.

Meanwhile Bruno Balossetti, Gian Luca Cavaliere, Alex Enderle, Julian Kasslatter, Stefan Kerschbaumer, and Roberto Radice make up the defence while Gabriele Araudo and Santino Stillitano will split the goaltending duties.

Stillitano, born in 1969, will be the oldest member of the entire Italian delegation.

The delegation has an average age of 31.3 despite the inclusion of 12 debutants.

The average has decreased since the last edition of the Games where it was 33.1 years.

Italy will be competing in its fifth consecutive Paralympics in the sport since Turin 2006 after winning the Paralympic Winter Games Qualification Tournament last November in Berlin.

It is the sixth seed in the eight-team competition, competing in Group B in the preliminary round with the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and hosts China.

The country will be looking to better its highest Paralympic ice hockey finish which was fourth place at Pyeongchang 2018.
