Pakistan were awarded third today at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Under-19 World Cup after downpours cancelled their playoff match with New Zealand.

After yesterday's game between West Indies and Australia was ended early due to rain, today's in Benoni in South Africa match wouldn't even start.

That means Pakistan are awarded third position due to having a better record in the group stage.

New Zealand finished with only three points in Group A behind India due to their match with Japan being cancelled, while Pakistan won two games before their top-of-the-table meeting with Bangladesh was cancelled too, so took five points in Group C.

All eyes are now on tomorrow's final in Potchefstroom between India and Bangladesh.

Should a match not be possible tomorrow, Monday is available as a reserve day.

Should a result still not be possible after Monday, the trophy will be shared.

Both teams are unbeaten so far, with India looking to win the title for a record fifth time and Bangladesh hoping to win an ICC World Cup for the first time ever.
