South Africa's Colleen Piketh added a further two wins to her tally in the women's singles as action continued today at the World Bowls Atlantic Championships in Wales' capital Cardiff.

Piketh beat Jersey's Chloe Greechan 21-8 and Argentina's Inis Jaimez 21-10 to make it eight victories from nine outings in section one.

Guernsey's Lucy Beere is in second place with seven wins from eight matches.

She defeated Zimbabwe's Caryn Sinclair 21-8 today before overcoming Israel's Ruti Gilor 21-20.

In section two, Scotland's Caroline Brown extended to seven matches her perfect start by beating Wales' Sara Marie Nicholls 21-17 and Malta's Sharon Callus 21-16.

With just one loss, second spot is occupied by England's Natalie Chestney, who defeated Cyprus' Hazel Bagshaw 21-7 today.

The clubs hosting games at the event are Penylan, Dinas Powys, Barry and Penarth.

Competition is due to continue tomorrow.
