Bulgaria’s home hope Neviana Vladinova is fourth in the all-around individual standings after day one of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in her native Sofia.
Two Russians head the standings ahead of tomorrow’s concluding activity - Aleksandra Soldatova, eight times a World Championship medallist, is top with 42.250 points after scoring 20.450 with the hoop and 21.800 with the ball.
Her compatriot Ekaterina Selezneva is second on 40.650 points ahead of Israel’s Linoy Ashram, winner of all-around silver at last year’s World Championships, who has 40.550.
Vladinova, who two years ago in Sofia won World Cup gold in the individual all-around, ball, ribbon and hoop events, has a total of 40.500 points, with her compatriot Katrin Taseva one place behind her on 40.450.
Selezneva topped the hoop qualification with 21.300 points, with Vladinova claiming the sixth of the eight places in tomorrow’s final with 20.150.
Soldatova headed the ball qualification for tomorrow’s final with 21.800 points, with Vladinova second on 20.350.
