The first International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Shotgun World Cup of 2019 is set to begin in the Mexican city of Acapulco tomorrow.

The Mexican seaside resort will host the first of four ISSF Shotgun World Cup events due to take place this year before the World Cup Final in Al Ain scheduled for October 8 to 15.

Al Ain is also set to hold the second competition of the year from April 5 to 16, while Changwon will stage the third from May 7 to 18 and Lahti the fourth from August 13 to 23.

The World Cup in Acapulco begins tomorrow with the first day of the women's trap competition.

Monday (March 18) will see the second day of the women's trap and the first day of the men's trap.

The second day of the men's trap will be on Tuesday (March 19), with a mixed team trap event taking place on Wednesday (March 20).

A short break will be followed by the first day of the women's skeet on March 23, with the second day of the women's and the first day of the men's skeet on March 24.

The second day of the men's skeet will be on the concluding day of competition, March 25.

The United States have sent a strong team to Acapulco, with names to look out for including six-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode in the women's skeet competition and two-time Olympic gold medalist and reigning world champion Vincent Hancock in the men's.
