The United States repeated their 2018 Winter Olympic Games victory over Sweden to win the men's final at the second leg of the Curling World Cup in Omaha. 

The US, playing in front of a home crowd at Omaha’s Ralston Arena, defeated Sweden 3-1 to secure the title.

"What a great tournament," said US skip John Shuster. 

"There was some great curling out here and some really great teams. 

"I’m really proud to get a win any time you have your country on your back."

It was a tense affair in the women's final, with Japan clinching the title after beating South Korea 6-5 on the final stone. 

"I'm just so happy," Japan's Satsuki Fujisawa skip said.

"We have great sweepers and good team-mates and we had a really good game."

Both winners received a prize of $20,000 (£15,726/€17,530).

The Norwegian duo of Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten triumphed in the mixed doubles event, defeating Switzerland 10-5.

Switzerland's Jenny Perret and Martin Rioshad been the only team across all three disciplines to win all six of their group games.

Norway have been awarded a prize of $10,000 (£7,863/€8,763) following their victory.

All three winning teams have also booked their place place at the Curling World Cup Grand Final to be held in Beijing next May. 

Teams will have one last chance to qualify for the Grand Final at January's third leg of the Curling World Cup in the Swedish city of Jönköping.
