Denmark defeated Spain to go two points clear at the top of Group Four at the European Floorball World Championship qualifiers.

Spain had gone 2-0 up within just 12 minutes at the Sport Hall Klokocina in Nitra, Slovakia, but Denmark recovered excellently to score four unanswered goals to shift the momentum back in their favour, giving them the platform for a 6-3 victory overall.

Norway currently occupy second spot in the group after they defeated Austria 4-2.

Today's Group One matches at Kalevi Sports Hall in Tallinn saw Poland thrash Liechtenstein 10-1 in Estonia's capital before reigning world champions Finland inflicted an emphatic 32-1 defeat on The Netherlands.

Finland now top Group One with hosts Estonia in second after their 16-4 victory over Belgium.

Group Three, taking place at Vidzemes OC in Valmiera, Latvia, is led by Switzerland, who registered a 17-3 win over Russia.

Host nation Latvia are in second following their 14-0 victory against Iceland.

Today's remaining match from that group saw Hungary beat Italy 4-3.

Sweden managed to climb to the top of Group Two, also taking place in Nitra, with a 17-0 win over Germany in one of the day's later matches. 

Slovenia increased their chances of making the play-offs with a 15-5 victory against France.

The World Championships are scheduled to take place in the Czech capital Prague from December 1 to 9.
