England, Japan and France all enjoyed comfortable victories today on day three of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India.

The English were particularly impressive in thrashing a sluggish Chile 4-0 in Group F at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho was the star for the European side as he scored twice and set-up another.

The highlight came in the first five minutes when he beat two defenders before setting up Callum Hudson-Odoi to tap home unmarked.

Sancho then scored his brace after half-time before the struggling Chilean goalkeeper Julio Borquez was sent off for a foul outside the box.

Second-half substitute Angel Gomes curled the resulting free-kick past midfielder Branco Provoste, who had been forced to deputise in goal due to all their substitutes having been used.

Mexico and Iraq drew 1-1 in a battle between two continental champions elsewhere in the group at the same venue.
