Slovenia booked their place in the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 World Cup quarter-finals by winning Pool B in France.

Their men’s team secured a 21-14 victory over The Philippines, before overcoming hosts France 19-17 to secure their fourth straight success.

Despite the defeat at the Parc des Chantiers in Nantes, France would secure the runners-up spot in the pool.

They defeated Romania 21-12 to seal their spot in the quarter-finals.

Ukraine finished top of Pool C after winning all four of their matches, with Qatar clinching the runners-up spot.

The conclusion of the pool stages saw the quarter-final draw completed, with the top clash seeing defending champions Serbia face the United States.

Ukraine will face France, while Slovenia will meet Qatar and The Netherlands take on Russia.

In the women’s competition, Italy won a top of the table clash with Argentina 15-5 to top the Pool D standings.

Argentina would miss out on the runner-up spot, with the Czech Republic beating them 21-10 to take their place in the last eight.

Russia finished top of Pool A after achieving a 100 per cent record, with Hungary ending in second place.

The Czech Republic will take on Russia in the last eight, while Hungary will meet Italy.

Spain face The Netherlands and Switzerland will take on Ukraine.
