Both top seeds at next month's World Squash Federation (WSF) World Junior Championships will be Egyptian.

It means the squash powerhouse are expected to clinch both the men's and women's crowns when the event takes place in Tauranga in New Zealand.

Youssef Ibrahim has been given top billing in the men's tournament after reaching the semi-finals last year in Bielsko-Biała in Poland.

The 18-year-old from Cairo is ranked 119 in the world and is on collision course with Mohammad Al Sarraj, the second seed.

The players will meet in the final if all goes to seeding with Al Sarraj aiming to become the first Jordanian to play in the showpiece match.

Both will start their tournaments with byes in the first round.

She could face second-seeded compatriot Zeina Mickawy, who will also open with a bye, in the final.

Matches will be played at the Devoy Squash and Fitness Centre between July 19 and 24.

Previous winners have gone on to great things, including Malaysia's eight-time senior women's world champion Nicol David.

The Women's World Junior Team Championship will follow from July 25 to 29.
