World number one Carolina Marin will face home hope PV Sindhu in a repeat of the Olympic women's singles final tomorrow at the Badminton World Federation (BWF) India Super Series in New Delhi after each won semi-finals today.

The Spaniard cruised past Japanese fourth seed Akane Yamaguchi 21-16, 21-14 in 40 minutes today at the Siri Fort Indoor Stadium.

India's Sindhu, seeded third, was made to work harder before defeating second ranked Sung Ji-hyun of South Korea, 21-18, 14-21, 21-14.

It came in a match lasting 74 minutes.

Marin won 19-21, 21-12, 21-15 when the two players met at the Brazilian Games, but she will have to cope with a partisan home crowd as well as in-form opponent this time around.

There will be another Euro-Asian tussle in the men's singles as Denmark's Viktor Axelsen eased past Hong Kong opponent Ng Ka Long today.
