The Confederation of European Baseball has named the heads of their Commissions for the 2017-2020 period ©CEB

The heads of seven Commissions at the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) have been confirmed following a meeting in Zagreb.

Members of the CEB Executive Committee made the decision for the 2017-2020 period in the Croatian city following up from a previous session in Belgrade, Serbia, in February.

Fred van Groningen Schinkel of The Netherlands has taken over from his follow countryman Paul Bokern as head of the Umpire Commission.

The only other change came in the Scoring Commission as another Dutch representative, Linda Steijger, has taken over from Spain’s Pablo Carpio, who will remain on the sub-group.

Germany’s Juergen Elsishans is staying on as head of the Technical Commission while Petr Strom of Sweden is still in charge of the Anti-Doping Commission.

Another Swede, Lars Sundin, remains the Legal Commission head and Belgium’s Rene Laforce will lead the Financial Commission.

France’s François Collet is heading the Communication and Marketing Commission.

The Executive Committee have also announced they are looking to create a Handicap Commission following the development of blind-baseball in Europe.
