Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia all won their respective quarter-finals today at the 2017 Bandy World Championships in Sandviken.

Of the four, it was Norway who had by far the toughest encounter at the Göransson Arena.

They required an extra time period before sealing a thrilling 5-4 victory over Kazakhstan.

Sweden will be next up for the Norwegians.

The hosts thrashed German 34-6 in their last eight clash.

Finland and Russia were similarly comfortable.

The Finns beat United States 15-1 while Russia won 17-0 over Belarus.

Both semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday (February 4).
