Six cities across three continents will host events on the International Skating Union (ISU) World Cup calendar next season, it has been announced today.
Dresden in Germany will be only city to play host after also doing so last year, with five new locations therefore announced.
Action will begin in Calgary on November 4 and 6, before a second North American event in Salt Lake City the following week, from November 11 to 13.
It will then shift to Asia for a leg in Shanghai from December 9 to 11.
Gangneung in South Korea will host the fourth event from December 16 to 18 in what should act as a first test event for the Gangneung Ice Arena venue due to be used for the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
A one month break will take place before action resumes in Europe in February.
Dresden will host a fifth leg from February 3 to 5.
A finale will then be held in Minsk in Belarus from February 10 to 12.
Action will take place in 500, 1000 and 1500 metres events as well as a 5000m relay.
It will come in a season topped by the World Championships in Rotterdam later in 2017.
