Third-seed Wang Yihan beat Indian star Saina Nehwal in straight-sets today in the semi-finals of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Swiss Open to set up an all Chinese final against He Bingjiao at the St Jakobshalle in Basel.

Wang, the world champion in 2011 and the Olympic silver medallist at London 2012, required just 40 minutes to continue her impressive record against Nehwal.

She stormed through the first set 21-11 and won a tighter second 21-19.

Wang is now one match away from a repeat of her 2009 singles triumph at the Swiss Open, an event that is part of the BWF Grand Prix Gold series.

He, beaten by Wang in straight sets at the All England Open Badminton Championships earlier this month. impressively defeated fifth-seed Sun Yu.

The Chinese star won a 48 minute clash over her fellow countrywoman 21-15, 21-19.

Other semi-final winners today included Tzu Wei Wang of Chinese Taipei, who beat India's 13th seed H.S. Prannoy.

Wang, ranked just 52 in the world, continued his remarkable upsurge in form, winning 12-21, 21-14, 23-21.

The newcomer will face Germany's Marc Zwiebler in the final after he beat Sweden's Henri Hurskainer, 21-11 10-21 21-15.

A good day for Chinese Taipei continued when fourth seeds Lee Sheng Mu and Tsai Chia Hsin overcame sixth-seeded Malaysians Kien Keat Koo and Boon Heong Tan, 21-23, 21-17, 21-10 in the men's doubles.

They will face Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark in the final, who beat team-mates Mathias Christiansen and David Daugaard 21-18, 21-12.
