On the fourth and final day of races, Sochi 2014 champion Redkozubov, alongside guide Evgeny Geroev, showed they will be strong contenders for medals at next month's World Championships by winning the men's visually impaired class.

The pair were fastest in both runs to record a time of 1 minute and 18.20 seconds and finished ahead of team mates Ivan Frantsev and guide German Agranovskii, who improved upon their disappointing third place performance from yesterday.

Bronze was claimed by home favourites Jon Santacana Maiztegui and guide Miguel Galindo Garcés.

Double Paralympic gold medallist Bugaev also proved fastest in each of his runs as he collected his fourth men's standing gold of the week.

The 17-year-old recorded 1:15.28 overall to knock New Zealand's Adam Hall into second, while Switzerland's Thomas Pfyl was just 0.08 further behind in third.

In the women's standing class, France's four-time Paralympic champion Marie Bochet continued her recovery to claim a third win in four.

She was forced to settle for silver on the second day of action after American 18-year-old Stephanie Jallen pulled off a shock performance to claim gold.

Bochet has since been back on top form and finished today's race 3.5 seconds clear of Jallen after clocking 1:24.02.

Jallen looks to be a star of the future and an incredible second run put her ahead of Germany's Paralympic champion Andrea Rothfuß on the final podium.

Austria's Claudia Lösch finally got her hands on gold in La Molina as she went fastest in the women's sitting with two consistent runs.

The Paralympic medallist had finished second on two occasions this week but finally took gold today after clocking 1:34.40.

Canadian Kimberly Joines had looked on course to win her nation's first gold of the week following a fastest first run, however, a third fastest time on the second left 0.34 seconds behind in second.

Yesterday's winner Laurie Stephens of the United States came home third.

German five-time Sochi 2014 champion Anna Schaffelhuber once again failed to complete her runs, leading to a second successive day without a medal.

Her team mate Anna-Lena Forster also failed to finish her first run.

Japan's Paralympic champion Takeshi Suzuki maintained his record of reaching the podium in each of this week's men's sitting races by claiming his second win in four races.

France's Jean Yves Le Meur was second, his highest finish of the week, whilst Austria's Roman Rabl was third.
