The four-time Sochi Paralympic champion avenged her defeat to Andrea Rothfuss in the slalom event at Sochi, the only gold to escape the French star's grasp, winning in La Molina by an impressive seven seconds with an overall time of 1min 21.92sec.

The 20-year-old won all five standing disciplines at the World Championships in 2013, and looks on course to repeat that feat in Panorama, Canada in just over 50 days' time.

Russia's Inga Medvedeva finished a further three seconds behind Germany's Rothfuss to claim her first World Cup points of the season in third.

It was business as usual for German five-time Sochi gold medallist Anna Schaffelhuber as she edged to victory in the women's sitting event.

Schaffelhuber became the second consecutive athlete to record a clean sweep of titles at the Paralympic Games when she took all five sit-ski golds at Sochi 2014.

Just two seconds behind was Austria's Claudia Loesch who rode home in 1:26.33.

The Austrian claimed two silvers in Sochi, finishing behind her German rival in each, and was once again left frustrated.

Third-placed German Anna-Lena Forster recovered from a slow opening to post a fast second run and claim bronze in this opening meet of the 2014/2015 season.

There was further German success in the men's sitting contest where Thomas Nolte secured a convincing victory over Japanese Paralympic champion Takeshi Suzuki.

Nolte's time of 1:18.92 was two seconds faster than his closest rivals, with Croatia's Dino Sokolovic less than a second further afield in third.

Double Paralympic champion Alexey Bugaev led a Russian one-two in the men's standing event as he beat team mate and Sochi bronze medallist Alexander Alyabyev with a time of 1:16.62.

Austria's Thomas Grochar posted two consistent runs to complete the podium.

Russia doubled their gold medal count for the day in the men's visually impaired competition with Paralympic champions Valerii Redkozubov and guide Evgeny Geroev skiing to victory in 1:16.24.

Slovakia's Miroslav Haraus and guide Maros Hudik claimed silver in this contest, narrowly beating Canadian Mac Marcoux, guided by brother Billie Joe.

Just two athletes took to the snow in the women's visually impaired contest where Ana Maria Selvi Solsona collected a first gold for the host nation.

The Spaniard recorded a time of 1:45.21 alongside guide Esther Noguera Hidalgo to beat Belgium's Marie-Morgane Dessart, guided by Alain Struman.
