The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) revealed plans on Monday for an extraordinary session later this week to address the situation involving 23 Chinese swimmers who were found to have traces of a prescription heart medication in their system.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has expressed its deep concern following the arrest and dismissal of the Director General of the Tunisian National Anti-Doping Agency (ANAD) for trying to deal with the consequences of ANAD's non-compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code.

It happened at a swim competition at Rades. The heads of Tunisia's swimming federation and national anti-doping organisation were arrested. They had covered the flag in response to a WADA sanction that banned it. "Tunisia is going to the IOC," said the Tunisian president. Nine people are currently the subject of criminal proceedings.

Still on the Mediterranean coast, the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch visited a new region on Monday. With no clouds in the sky, the torch illuminated the main towns of Millau, Sète and Montpellier, all of which are located in the southern part of the Occitania region.

Stafford met with Wang Yi, the new director for Chengdu Sports Bureau, and Wang Guangliang, the Deputy Director General for the Foreign Affairs Office of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government and Chengdu People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, according to a press release sent by GAMMA.
