The new deal is aimed at helping to bring success to American athletes competing on the international stage at Olympics and World Championships.

US wrestlers will use products developed at MusclePharm's Sports Science Center & Research Institute.

The company's products are formulated, tested and certified in an Institutional Review Board (IRB)-compliant facility.

MusclePharm and its products are due to be introduced at the this year's World Cup of Freestyle Wrestling, taking place in Los Angeles on March 15 and 16 and the company will also be featured at USA Wrestling events and on digital platforms.

"We are fully committed to helping USA Wrestling's athletes on their road to success, as they progress through their training leading up the 2015 World Wrestling Championships and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and beyond," said Brad Pyatt, chairman and chief executive of MusclePharm.

Following this year's World Championships - governed by the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) - in Tashkent, Las Vegas will see the US host the Championships for the sixth time.

The Orleans Arena will follow on from Madison Square Garden in New York, which hosted the freestyle World Championships in 2003.

Wrestling has traditionally been of the strongest sports in terms of US medal success at Olympic Games, with American wrestlers picking 52 gold medals in total.

At London 2012 freestyle wrestlers Jordan Burroughs and Jacob Varnier claimed Olympic gold while Clarissa Chun and Coleman Scott took bronze medals.
