There are five categories for the 2014 World Rowing Awards:

• Coach of the Year

• Male Rower or Crew of the Year

• Female Rower or Crew of the Year

• Para-rowing Rower or Crew of the Year

• Distinguished Service to Rowing Medal

Nominations can be submitted online here until midnight Central European Time on Sunday (September 28).

One nomination can be made for each category, with the International Rowing Federation (FISA) Council to narrow down the list to finalists.

FISA's Executive Committee will then decide on the winners in the five categories by October 13, with the winners due to be announced and presented with their awards at the 2014 World Rowing Coaches Conference gala dinner on November 8 in Rio de Janeiro.

Winners last year included Australian single scull athlete Kim Crow, who won Female Crew of the Year and Norwegian Johan Flodin, who won Coach of the Year.
