Manila West have been crowned the winners of the 2014 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Manila Masters ©FIBATeam Manila West brought thousands of local fans to their feet today when they overcame Doha 21-17 to claim the 2014 International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 World Tour Manila Masters title.

Terrence Romeo was a star player after breaking the 17-all tie with 44 seconds remaining at the Fashion Hall of the SM Megamall, while John Aldrech Ramos was also key as he scored seven points, including the game-winning basket from behind the arc with time down to 7.7 seconds.

"It is a good feeling because it was the last shot and it turned to be the winning basket," Ramos said.

Their team mate Rey Guevarra was also notable after contributing seven points, as was Niño Canaleta, who added five.

Basketball Federation of the Philippines President Manny V Pangilinan insisted he "never doubted them".

The match was a reverse of the pool stage game that saw Doha defeating Manila West 21-17, yet Qatari World Championship gold medallist Yasseen Musa still managed eight points in the losing event.

Both teams have now qualified for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan on October 11 and 12.
