Following a narrow win over Russia at the MasterCard Centre yesterday, the Americans took on South Korea and fired in five unanswered goals against a side who had also shipped five to Canada in their opening game.

The star man for the US was 16-year-old Declan Farmer who provided a reminder to head coach Jeff Sauer of his undoubted ability and claims for a spot in the Sochi 2014 squad with a man-of-the-match display.

The youngster bagged two goals while teammate Josh Pauls was also an effective weapon contributing one goal and two assists.

"Declan just continues to amaze us, the whole staff," said Sauer.

"I mean, he does things that are very clever for a very young player and he's very skilled, but he's a smart skilled player it's not just skill that does things.

"He does the little things that make him that much better."

Taylor Chace, who bagged his second goal of the tournament, and Greg Shaw completed the list of scorers for the reigning Paralympic champions.

They are joined on six points by hosts Canada who put in another five-star showing against Russia.

This time it was a player at the other end of the experience scale who shone the brightest as veteran Billy Bridges bagged two goals and two assists for the Maple Leafs.
