The Championships are due to run from June 17 tntil 22 at the Stade Montois Tennis, under the patronage of the French Tennis Federation (FFT), the French Federation of Adapted Sport (FFSA) and Inas.

In order to maximise entries, Inas upgraded the otherwise European Championships to a World Championships for 2014 in the hope of bringing together the world's best Para-athletes onto the clay court of the Stade Montois Tennos.

The Championships will see up to 10 athletes - five male and five female - from each participating country, with federations having until February 28 to provide a pre-entry form, which implies their intention of participating, before naming their athletes by April 30.

The 2014 Inas World Tennis Championships will mark the sixth edition of Inas' flagship tennis event, with previous tournaments being held in Czech Republic in 2009 and 2013, Italy 2011, Poland 2008 and Australia 2004.

The 2011 and 2009 events were integrated into the Inas Global Games, a major event on the Inas calendar which sees hundred of athletes competing in a multi-sport competition.
