"Along the way, Kurt shares the jubilation of winning as well as the depths of disappointment that come with competing at an elite level," the publicity material about the book claims.

"He tells the stories of the people behind his success, his passionate and extended family and friends and loving wife and baby son and provides an insight into the treatment of people with disabilities around the world.

"Pushing the Limits captures Kurt's infectious enthusiasm for life, his positive attitude and his belief that everyone should get a fair go."
