att usa lockup 140x80April 4 - American multinational telecommunications corporation AT&T have renewed their sponsorship of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) in a new deal that will include Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016.


The agreements sees AT&T retain their status as the Official Communications Sponsor of the US Olympic and Paralympic teams at the upcoming Winter and Summer Games while next year, the Dallas-based company will be celebrating 30 years of sponsoring the USOC.

"Through its support, AT&T helps the USOC represent our country at the highest levels and we are happy to continue this great relationship, said AT&T's vice-president of media services and sponsorships Mark Wright.

"As Team USA travels extensively, AT&T helps them stay connected to the people that matter most.

"AT&T's heritage and legacy of sponsoring Team USA demonstrates the value we place on connecting our customers with their interests and passions."

AT&T is the largest provider both of mobile telephony and of fixed telephony in the United States and one of the largest companies in the world by market value.

The company, which was founded in 1983, began sponsoring the USOC the following year, ahead of the Los Angeles Olympic Games that year.

In addition to their deal with the USOC, AT&T also currently sponsors USA Gymnastics and United States Figure Skating.

In addition, they support the three U.S. Olympic Training Centres in America by providing each with their communications such as high speed internet, Wi-Fi, wireless charging stations and advanced television services.
