A knock-out in the first round of the final bout say Cuba Domadores return to winning ways as they beat Venezuela Caciques 3-2 in the World Series of Boxing today.

Jose Larduet needed just 2min 19sec to see off Henrique Dos Santos Nascimento in the night’s heavyweight clash to hand the Cubans, who lost time out against Colombia Heroicos in Group A, overall victory at the Domo José María Vargas.

The match’s earlier fights had been split evenly between the sides with Yoel Finol Rivas claiming the flyweight bout for the hosts with an unanimous points victory against Yosbany Veitia.

Domadores levelled matters though in the lightweight clash as Armando Martinez got good scores from all the ringside judges to defeat Luis Cabrera.

A split decision in the welterweight tie then saw Roniel Iglesias put the visitors ahead, but Caciques light-heavyweight Albert Ramirez Duran defeated Julio La Cruz to set up a winner-takes-tie bout between Larduet and Nascimento.
