China's State General Administration of Sport and the Chinese Hockey Association held a floorball coaching seminar at the Olympic Sports Centre in Yangzhou.

Thirty participants from Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Tibet and Zhejiang took part in the seminar, which had the aim of training coaches to aid the development of floorball in Chinese schools. 

The seminar ran over four days with an Opening Ceremony held on the first day.

This was attended by vice president of the Asia Oceania Floorball Confederation, Ching Sy Jeng, the deputy secretary general of the Chinese Hockey Association, Wang Tong, and the director of the Floorball Committee of the Chinese Hockey Association, Yuan Yong.

During the seminar, Yuan explained the development process, basic technology and basic training methods of floorball to the participants.

Guo Xueqi, the coach, referee and head of the competition referee department of the Floorball Committee of the Chinese Hockey Association, explained the rules of floorball and basic skills.

Assistant coach He Xiaolong demonstrated the basic skills and training methods of floorball goalkeepers.  

Participants underwent a final examination on the last day.

Those who successfully passed obtained the basic level certificate, jointly endorsed by the Chinese Hockey Association and the International Floorball Federation.
