Therese Johaug of Norway extended her lead in the International Ski Federation (FIS) Cross Country World Cup standings after winning again today on a home course in Beitostølen.

Johaug recently returned to action after serving an 18-month doping ban for testing positive for anabolic steroid clostebol in 2016.

Since then she has won all three individual distance events this season, and today maintained her unbeaten start to the season by finishing the women's 15km race in 37min 33.9sec.

In second was Sweden's Charlotte Kalla in a time of 38:39.8, while Norway's Ingvild Flugstad Østberg placed third with 38:40.0.

Johaug has now extended her lead in the World Cup standings with a maximum total of 500 points.
