Cuba Domadores and Colombia Heroicos continued their superb start to the World Series of Boxing (WSB) season with victories in their respective Group A clashes today.

The Domadores, defending champions after proving too strong in 2016, began with a 5-0 win over Caciques Venezuela in Havana.

They proved similarly comfortable today in another home whitewash win, this time over the Argentina Condors at the Coliseo Ciudad Deportiva.

Olympic under 81 kilograms champion Julio La Cruz provided the star factor with a 3-0 points verdict over Juan Rizo.

Yosbany Veitia had earlier begun with a 3-0 under 52kg win over Ramon Quiroga.

Armando Rabi-Martinez then enjoyed an under 60kg majority verdict over Joel Mafauad.

London 2012 under 69kg champion Roniel Iglesias was among other winners, vanquishing Federico Schinina 3-0.

Jose Larduet Gomez then completed the job with a first round stoppage over Kevin Espindola at over 91kg.

Colombia Heroicos proved almost as dominant by winning 4-1 over Caciques Venezuela at the Coliseo de combate Bernardo Caraballo in Cartagena.

Ceiber Avila Segura began by beating Franklin Gonzalez 3-0 at under 52kg.

Christian Palacio then gave the Venezuelans hope by beating under 60kg rival John Gutierrez Agudelo 2-0 to level the scoreline.

But it was one way traffic from then on.

Alexander Rangel Madariaga beat Jesus Correa at under 69kg, Juan Carillo Palacio defeated Nalek Korbaj at under 81kg, 3-0, and then Cristian Salcedo Codazzi beat Edgar Munoz 3-0 in the deciding over 91kg bout.

The two group leaders are due to clash on March 3.

Action is due to resume tomorrow  with two bouts in Group C..

China Dragons are due to face the Patriot Boxing Team in Sanya before Astana Arlans Kazakhstan host the Uzbek Tigers in Taldykorgan.
