Japan claimed all five gold medals as women’s freestyle wrestling drew to a close at the Cadet Wrestling World Championships title in Georgia's capital Tbilisi.

One of the most anticipated contests pitted the 2015 champion Ronna Heaton of the United States against Japan’s Haruna Okuno.

The 52kg gold medal match proved a tight affair between the two with Okuno sealing Japan’s third gold of the day, winning 4-2.

Kyrgyzstan’s Nazira Kyzy narrowly beat Puerto Rico’s Andribeth Belliard 5-4 to clinch bronze and was joined on the podium by Sweden’s Ida Joensson, after her 9-4 win over Hungary’s Erika Bognar.

Japan’s success continued into the heavier weight categories with Atena Kodama and Yasuha Matsuyki triumphing in the 60kg and 70kg competitions respectively.

Kodama enjoyed the more dominant victory as she defeated Russia’s Mariia Lechugina with a technical fall.

America's Alara Boyd was a convincing 8-1 winner against Canada’s Kirti Saxena to win the first bronze medal and India’s Anshu Anshu defeated Aina Temirtassova 7-4 in their tie.

Matsuyki ensured Japan would enjoy a 100 per cent record on the final day of women’s freestyle competition, sealing a 7-2 win over Aiperi Kyzy of Kyrgyzstan in the heavyweight final.

Spain’s Raquel Escibano beat Hungary’s Benadett Nagy 6-3 to earn bronze, with the final medal in the division going to Lithunia’s Kamile Gaucaite after a tight 1-0 win over Denise Stroem of Sweden.
